At Farmer Copleys, we’re passionate about celebrating the people behind the produce. That’s why we’re launching our brand new Meet the Makers series—giving you a behind the scenes look at the producers we’re proud to call our Farm Shop Heroes.
In our very first episode, we’re visiting Breckenholme, the family run business behind Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and the ever popular Charlie & Ivy’s range. Based in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, they’ve built a reputation for creating high quality, cold pressed rapeseed oils and flavourful dressings using crops grown right on their doorstep.
Heather and Gianna from our team headed out to meet Adam and Jennie from Breckenholme, exploring the rapeseed fields where it all begins. They talked about how Farmer Copleys first discovered Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, how the partnership developed and why these products have become firm favourites with our customers. They also shared their personal favourites from the range.
The video gives a real insight into the process, from crop to bottle. You’ll also get a look behind the scenes in their production kitchen, where the team were busy making one of Charlie & Ivy’s iconic bread dippers. From the golden fields of rapeseed to the shelves of our Farm Shop, it’s a journey rooted in Yorkshire pride, passion and real flavour.
We’re proud to support producers like Breckenholme who champion sustainability, keep things local and truly care about the quality of what they create. This is the first in a series of stories that highlight the incredible people behind the brands we stock and we can’t wait to share more with you.
You can watch the full video now over on our YouTube channel. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the next episode of Meet the Maker and if you’ve got a favourite product you’d love us to feature, let us know!
