Our Strawberries
For 2023 we have doubled the amount of strawberry tunnels from last year, meaning we have LOADS more strawberries to pick when you visit. Please keep an eye out for our guide on picking the best berries.
The varieties we grow at Farmer Copleys are Munura, Sweet Eve, Malling Centenery, Elsanta, Sonata & Malling Alure. These are planted at different stages to ensure we have enough fruit to keep us going from May to August.
They are grown on our Spanish tunnels, they are at an accessible height, so no bending over to pick. You can also bring your dogs along too, as long as they’re on a lead and please clean up any mess.
The Strawberry Experience
The Strawberry Experience is back for 2024.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm this year. The Strawberry Experience is the perfect place to ‘pick your own’ and learn all about strawberries, so why not join us this year to pick your fresh, homegrown Yorkshire berries.
There really isn’t anything better than bringing the family along, picking sweet British fruit, out in the fields amongst the fresh air. You just can’t beat it!
Not Just Strawberries
We aren’t just growing strawberries this year, we’ll have raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries and our newest addition 8 varieties of BLUEBERRIES including a very interesting one called Pink Lemonade. You have to see it to believe it…
Don’t forget, we have our Pumpkin Festival in October too, for more fruit picking fun… (Yes, pumpkins are in fact a fruit!)
